Updating DB statistics
The database table and index statistics should be up-to-date for an optimal performance so that the database optimizer can choose the best (quickest) access plan to retrieve data for each SQL query.
IBM® Product Master provides a report for updating database statistics. The report fetches such tables whose last maintenance date exceeds 15 days and run the RUNSTATS on the tables and indexes. For Oracle, gather_table_stats is performed. This ensures that the database statistics are up-to-date and enhance the IBM Product Master performance.
The Update DB Statistics report has the following dependent Product Master objects:
