Installing

You have a choice of installation through IBM® Installation Manager, containers, or on a cloud-based solution.

IBM Installation Manager: Provides you an option extracting the Product Master package and preparing for script-based installation.; For more information, see Installing through IBM Installation Manager topic in the On-prem deployment section.
Containerized (Accelerated): During a containerized installation, IBM Product Master is installed from a Docker image, that ensures a simple and consistent installation experience. Use accelerated installation when you need to consistently and quickly deploy across multiple instances.; For more information, see Accelerated deployment.
Cloud-based: During a native cloud-based installation, Product Master service with all the on-prem product features is installed on the IBM Cloud Pak® for Data.; For more information, see IBM Cloud Pak for Data documentation.
