Supply Side Global Data Synchronization

The Supply Side Global Data Synchronization is a process whereby suppliers register product data to a source data pool, which retailers can then subscribes to. Suppliers review and act upon requests from retailers about the provided product data.

Supply side Global Data Synchronization facilitates the synchronization of data by using this messaging process:
  • The supplier at Global Data Synchronization Supply Side sends the new item information as an Item Add message to the source data pool.
  • After the item information gets added at the source data pool, the supplier gets an acknowledgment with an Item Response message.
  • The item information gets registered on the global registry and the supplier receives an Item Registry Response from the source data pool.
  • The supplier then creates item links that define relations of registered items and sends to the data pool though an Item Link Request.
  • The links and hierarchies are registered at data pool and acknowledged through an Item Link Response.
  • Supplier then requests the publishing of the item data to external world (trading partners) through its data pool by using a Publication Request - New/Initial Load.
  • After the successful publishing of data, the Publication Response - New/Initial Load is sent to the supplier.
  • The retailer accepts the publication and the confirmation is sent back by an Item Authorization Response.
