Editing the GDS configuration files

You set the required parameters during system setup in the env_settings.ini file, which is used to populate the Global Data Synchronization feature properties files. For advanced features, you can edit the gds.properties and gds_system.properties files to customize the functionality and performance of Global Data Synchronization.

About this task

Most parameters have a generic default value that is preset in the gds.properties and gds_system.properties files, but you can specify custom values to fit your needs.

Procedure

  1. Open the file to be edited.
  2. Update the configuration values.
  3. Close the file.
  4. Stop the Product Master and Global Data Synchronization services.
  5. Restart the services.
