Product Family feature
A Product family is a collection of products that are of the same type but are sold in multiple variations. These products are almost similar to each other, but have slight variations.
These variations can be in terms of say, color or size, and are actually different options of a
Master
or Base
product. The Product Family feature defines this Base
Product-Variants relation in a typical hierarchical relationship model as depicted in the
following illustration.
