Create initial context

Use the Add Initial Context wizard to create an initial context.

1. In the MQ Explorer - Navigator pane, right-click the JMS Administered Objects folder.
2. Select Add Initial Context...
   The Add Initial Context wizard displays.
3. Enter or select these values in the Connection details window and then click Next:
   • File system
   • Factory class: com.sun.jndi.fscontext.RefFSContextFactory
   • Bindings directory for Windows: C:\JNDI_DIRECTORY
   • Bindings directory for UNIX: /var/mqm/JNDI_DIRECTORY/
4. Enter or select these values in the User preferences window and then click Finish:
   • Context nickname: file:/C:/JNDI_LOCATION/
   • Connect immediately on finish
