Editors

Some attributes can be directly edited by using in-built editors in the single-edit and multi-edit pages.

Linked editor

You can use the Linked editor to search entries based on any attribute of the selected catalog.

By default, the selected attribute is the Destination attribute of the selected catalog. The attributes in the Select attribute list are populated based on the rich_search_indexed_only property set in the common.properties file. All the attributes from Primary specs, Secondary specs, and subspecs are populated in the Select attribute list. You can quickly identify an Indexed attribute (theme accent color label) and nonindexed attribute (Gray label) by color labels.

To use the editor, proceed as follows:
  1. Click icon to open Linked pop-up window.
  2. Select an attribute from the Select attribute list.
  3. Specify a search term in the Search value field, and press Enter.
Note:
  • Only search for Linked attribute of type string supported.
  • If you add new attributes to a spec, you must save the item before you initiate a search.
Important:
  • If a user-defined core attribute collection is attached to the catalog, then the Select attribute list has attributes from the attribute collection. The value of the rich_search_indexed_only property in the common.properties file decides whether the indexed and nonindexed attributes appear in the Select attribute list.
  • If a user-defined core attribute collection is not attached to the catalog, then the Select attribute list has attributes from the Primary spec. The value of the rich_search_indexed_only property in the common.properties file decides whether the indexed and nonindexed attributes appear in the Select attribute list.

Relationship editor

You can use the Relationship editor to select related item, and also search entries based on any attribute of the selected catalog.

By default, the selected attribute is the Display attribute of the selected catalog. The attributes in the Select attribute list are populated based on the rich_search_indexed_only property set in the common.properties file. All the attributes from the Primary specs, Secondary specs, and sub-specs are populated in the Select attribute list. You can quickly identify an Indexed attribute (theme accent color label) and non-indexed attribute (Gray label) by color labels.

To use the editor, proceed as follows:
  1. Click icon to open Relationship pop-up window.
  2. Specify a catalog from the Select catalog list.
  3. Select an attribute from the Select attribute list.
  4. Specify a search term in the Search value field, and press Enter.
