Installing through IBM Installation Manager

You can use IBM® Installation Manager to extract the Product Master package and prepare for script-based installation.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure that you meet these prerequisites:

You completed the installation preparation tasks (including preparing your IBM WebSphere® Application Server and database). For more information, see Installing and setting up the database and Configuring WebSphere Application Server.
You added the Product Master offering in the Preferences section of the IBM Installation Manager. For more information, see Adding offerings to IBM Installation Manager.
Ensure you have downloaded and extracted the Product Master 14.0 installation disk from the IBM Passport Advantage® website. For more information, see Downloading and extracting Product Master 14.0.

Procedure

Note: For better clarity, the following flow has some sample outputs and folder locations. You are expected to change the values that are mentioned in such instances depending on the location of your $TOP folder.

Go to the folder where IBM Installation Manager is installed.

cd InstallationManager/eclipse/tools/
```
List all the files in the folder by using the following command.
```
ls
```
Output

imcl imcl.ini imutilsc imutilsc.ini
```

Run the following command and start the IBM Installation Manager in console mode.

./imcl -c
