Editing or creating an attribute collection

Using the Attribute collection console, you can edit an existing attribute collection or create an attribute collection.

About this task

To edit an existing attribute collection or create a new attribute collection, proceed as follows.
  • To edit an existing attribute collection, click any of the following.
    • <attribute collection name>link
    • Associations link
    • Attributes link
  • To create a new attribute collection, click Create AC.
The attribute collection details page opens.

Procedure

  1. In the Name field, add or edit the name of the attribute collection.
  2. In the Description field, add or edit the description for the attribute collection.
  3. In the Attribute collection properties section, add or edit the following.
    Associations Displays associations with various catalogs, hierarchies, and workflows.
  4. In the Attribute collection section, you can build an attribute collection by searching and selecting attributes from existing specs.
    1. In the left pane, search for the specs and attributes.
      Spec name Specifies the name of the spec.
      Attribute path Specifies the path or name of the attribute to be searched inside a spec.
      Spec type Specifies the type of spec.
      • Primary spec
      • Secondary spec
      Locales Specifies all the locales set for the company.
      Search Select whether you want to search specs and attributes or only specs.
      Show more Click to display more attribute collections.

      By default, the page displays 50 attribute collections and supports lazy loading for better user experience. You can keep loading more attribute collections through Show more, but after you click Refresh, you see only 120 attribute collections. You can configure the number of attribute collection cards that Attribute collection console page displays through the attributeCollectionTreeNodeCount property in the config.json file. For more information, see attributeCollectionTreeNodeCount.

    2. Select the specs and attributes, and click to move to the Selected specs and attributes pane. You can select single or multiple specs and attributes (select and click Ctrl or Shift).
    3. Optional: To search again, click .
    4. Optional: To remove a spec or attribute, select and click Remove.
    5. Verify the additions in the Selected specs and attributes pane, and click Save.
