Restrictions for propagating lookup tables

Use the lookup table propagation restrictions to ensure that your data model is propagated successfully.

Programmatic rules are defined within lookup tables. When you propagate lookup table changes that contain script extensions, the scripts are not automatically propagated. You must manually ensure that all necessary scripts are propagated.

For lookup tables that have dependant spec changes, deploy your solution changes in two stages:
  1. Deploy your lookup table specs and lookup table definitions in the first stage.
  2. Deploy the specs that reference your lookup tables in the second stage.
The following are propagated automatically:
  • Adding a lookup table
  • Deleting a lookup table if the lookup table is not referenced within a spec. Deleting a lookup table can be propagated only through deleting import jobs through the Collaboration Manager > Imports > Import Console in the user interface.
If you try to delete a lookup table that is referenced within a spec, the import fails and you do not receive an error message to inform you of the failure.
The following actions are not supported:
  • Renaming a lookup table
  • Modifying a lookup table
