Limitations for importing a company

When you deploy a company ensure that you are aware of the company import limitations.

The following items, data, and objects must be manually imported for successful company deployment:

  • The deployment process does not support the import of:
    • Inherited data
    • Catalog and hierarchy content that supports inheritance
    • Collaboration area content
    • Default objects
    • Role to locale mapping
    • Organization hierarchy content
    • Ordering information of catalog items
  • The deployment process supports the import of:
    • Binary
    • Category
    • Currency Date
    • Flag Image
    • ImageURL
    • Integer
    • LookupTable
    • Number
    • NumberEnumeration
    • Password String
    • StringEnumeration
    • ThumbnailImage
    • ThumbnailImageURL
    • Timezone
    • URL
  • The deployment process does not support the import of:
    • Relationship attribute information.
    • Items and categories with relationship information. All relationship information is lost in the target instance. For example, if an item has a spec node of type relationship and another item is assigned to spec node, the assignment information will not be present in the target instance.
    • Data with integer value more than Integer.
  • For all imports, you should always use the scheduler for large volumes of data.
  • To avoid errors, you must ensure that all objects that you export for deployment are successfully imported into your target instance.

  • When you import jobs with an environment import, historic schedules are not imported. Historic schedules are not repeating schedules in the past. Therefore, you see the following error in the import log: ERROR:CWXIM0272E:Create not supported for job of type CTGTODB. If this error message is being thrown in context of an environment import for objects of type "Job", this means that historic job schedules are not being repeated for this job and that this job is not imported into the target company. Job schedules that took place in the past in the source company is not imported into a company through environment import.

  • The company trigo that is packaged by default, does not support a fully functional import or export environment. You must not use the company trigo as a source or target for imports or exports.
