Using Variant mapping console

The Variant mapping console allows you to map the existing items to a Base or Variant item.

Tasks

You can perform following tasks in the Variant mapping console page.

Table 1. Link tab

Catalog	Select a catalog.
Add entry	Click to add a row to specify the Parent ID and Child ID for linking.
Import entry	Fix Pack 9 Interim Fix 1Click to import a Microsoft Excel workbook file having the parent and child Primary keys. You can use this feature to bulk edit Base - Variant (Parent - Child) relation links. Note: Requires configured Hazelcast setup. On Containerized deployment, the Scheduler service must be correctly configured with Hazelcast service.
Link entry	Click to link parent and child entries. Variant Management Report job then links to the item. You can only link an immediate parent of a child item.
Refresh	Click to refresh.
Delete entry	Select a row, and click . To delete the row, click Yes.

Catalog	Select a catalog.
Search parent	Enter the Primary key of the parent item to search.
Delete entry	Select a child Id, and click . To delete the row, click Yes. You cannot unlink an item that does not have any child items.
