Defining routing

When an entry is moved from one step to another through a workflow, that entry is following a path of logical steps called routing. Routing refers to the path that an entry follows within steps of a workflow.

Before you begin

To set up routing for an entry, you need to ensure that all the steps for the workflow are created.

Procedure

  1. Click Data Model Manager > Workflows > New Workflow. The New Workflow and Workflow Steps tables display.
  2. Create a customized step.
  3. Across from the Initial step, click the + button to select the first step in your workflow.
Under the Name column, all of your workflow steps are listed. When you click the + button, a window displays the possible exit values and the steps in your workflow.
  4. Click the + button to identify the next step for every step that you created in your workflow.
  5. Click the disk icon to save your routing of steps within the workflow.
