Importing data model

You need to complete the following steps to configure Product Master for the Persona-based UI.

  1. Import the required data model in the Product Master.
    1. Log in to Admin UI.
    2. Browse to System administrator > Import Company Environment.
    3. Click Browse, select the appropriate data model file, and click Import.
  2. Assign appropriate roles to the Product Master users as follows.
    Note: Take a backup by exporting Roles, Specs, User, Lookup Table, Company Attributes, and similar objects that might have the same name as objects in the mdmce-env.zip file because when you import mdmce-env.zip file, such objects can be overwritten.
  3. Enter the following URL in the address bar of your browser to access the GUI.
    Admin UI

    http://host_name:port_number/utils/enterLogin.jsp

    Persona-based UI

    http://host_name:port_number/mdm_ui

    If Free Text Search service is enabled, then running the installAll.sh file also starts the pimcollector and indexer services. If the machine learning service is enabled, then running the installAll.sh file also starts the machine learning services.
