Importing the Banking solution sample

After you have installed and deployed the Banking Solution, you need to import the data model. This imports all the specs, catalogs, hierarchies, attribute collections, and workflow steps, that are essential for the Banking Solution sample to work.

Procedure

  1. Create a company, by running the create_cmp.sh file:
    $TOP/bin/db/create_cmp.sh --code=bank
  2. Start the instance, by running the start_local.sh file:
    $TOP/bin/go/start_local.sh
  3. Log in to the Product Master as an Administrator and using the company you created in Step 1.
  4. Import the samples from the $BANKING_INSTALL_DIR/data_samples folder and models from the $BANKING_INSTALL_DIR/data_model folder.
  5. Click System Administrator > Import Environment > sample.zip > Import.
Following are the files that you need to import as the sample.zip:
    • synchronization_toolkit_model.zip - Contains the definitions of the Lookup tables that are required to maintain the synchronization between the Product Master objects and their counterparts in MDM AE.
    • banking_solution_model.zip
      Note:
      • After successful import, repeat the import again to resolve a circular dependency between the Lookup tables and their specs.

      • If the first import fails to import all of the offers (items in offer catalog) and channels (categories in channel hierarchy), you need to import the ZIP file again. To verify that the import completed successfully, you should see three items in the Offer Catalog (Basic Checking Account, Master-card Gold and Small Business Receivables Loan), and the Channels hierarchy should have a number of categories including: ATM Machines, Branches, Browser, and so on.

    • sample_product_catalog_model.zip
    • banking_qa_data.zip
