About this task
When defining the File Spec, Primary Spec, Lookup Spec, Secondary Spec, Sub-Spec and Script Input Spec, there are specific fields where you can select the type of display for your lookup table attribute values.
To select the display of the lookup table attribute values, you can either select a specific format from the Lookup Table Value Display Format field or the Lookup Table Value Display Attribute field drop-down list. For relationship type attributes, you can select a value for the Relationship Value Display Format field.
The Lookup Table Value Display Format field enables you to choose the type of format. The Lookup Table Value Display Attribute field enables you to choose any attribute of the selected lookup table as the display attribute, attribute can be the primary key of the lookup table as well. The Relationship Value Display Format field enables you to display the different types of relationship values.
The single edit and multi-edit screens displays the lookup table and relationship attributes values in the specified format and also uses the specified display attribute.
The lookup table displays both the primary key of the lookup table attribute and the specified display attribute. The relationship attributes displays the destination catalog name, primary key, and the display attribute.
