Access Control Group Console

Use the Access Control Group Console to manage your access control groups, which you use to define access privileges for users to specific objects.

The Access Control Group Console displays the access control groups (ACGs) as rows in a table. To customize the columns that are included in the table, click Customize button in the upper right side of the table to display the Properties section. Click directly on the column header to sort through that particular column. To search for specific access control groups and display only those rows that match your search criteria, click Filter button.

You can create, view, or edit privileges of an ACG from the Access Control Group Console. You create an ACG to set privileges for each role that is assigned to the ACG, therefore creating privileges for users that are assigned to each role in an ACG. To create an ACG, click New. To view or edit an ACG, click Edit in the Actions column for the ACG. You cannot delete an ACG, but you can edit every component of an ACG to create an ACG.

You can also define system-wide access privileges for users from the Access Control Group Console. To define system-wide access, click Edit System-wide Access.

Important: For lookup table permissions, Catalog section of the Default ACG is used, as internally even Lookup table is treated as a catalog and its entries are treated as items.
