Setting the default date and time attributes

The application server processes all of the values by using the server time zone and stores the date attributes as Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) values in the database.

About this task

The TimeZone attribute type allows you to add "default TimeZone" facet. The "default TimeZone" facet, shows up by default when you add an item.

For example, if you select the(GMT+05:30) Calcutta, Chennia, Mumbai, New Delhi for the Default Time Zone field, when you create a new item with this spec, the timezone field is pre-populated with the default time zone.

The Date attribute type allows you to add "default Value" facet. The "default Value" facet, is pre-populated when you add an item and provide a value.
