Using the Hierarchy console, you can edit an existing hierarchy or create a new
hierarchy.
About this task
To edit an existing hierarchy or create a new hierarchy, proceed as follows.
- To edit an existing hierarchy, click <hierarchy name> link.
- To create a new hierarchy, click Create hierarchy.
The hierarchy details page opens.
Procedure
- In the hierarchy properties section, add or edit the
following.

Name |
Displays name of the hierarchy. |
Version name |
This field is visible only if you are editing an hierarchy. Displays name of the
version. |
Type |
Displays type of the hierarchy (Catalog or Organization). |
Primary spec |
Click to select the primary spec. Click if you want
to view or edit the selected spec. Click to add a spec.

Display attribute |
Click to select the display attribute. |
Path attribute |
Click to select the path attribute. |
Access control group |
Click to select the access control group. |
User defined core attribute collection |
Click to select a user-defined core attribute collection. |
Items only on leaves |
Select to display items only on leave. |
Scripts section |
Entry build script |
This section is visible only if you are editing an hierarchy. Select an
appropriate script for the hierarchy. |

Custom attributes |
In the Custom attributes section, click to add a custom attribute to the hierarchy. Click to delete the custom attribute. |
Versions tab |
Date |
Displays the date when the version was created. |
Name |
Displays the name of the version. Double-click a row to change a version name. |
Type |
Displays the type of the version. |
- Click Save.
