Viewing recent activities
The Recent activities page of the Administration tab provides a searchable
audit log of activities. It allows you to track every action that is performed by users inside your
tenant. To view recent activities, complete the following steps:
- On the home page, click the Administration tab.
- Go to the Recent activities tab.
- From the Tenant list, select the required tenant.
- In the audit log list, view the following information:
- User
- The user who performed the activity.
- Type
- The activity that was performed, such as logging in or running a simulation. For more information about what activities are recorded in the audit log, see Types of audit events.
- Date and Time
- When exactly thigh action was performed.
- Message
- Additional information, like what file was uploaded, or which organization deleted.
- To find a specific activity, search by activity message, or filter by user, type, or date. If
the activity you're looking for is missing, try clicking the Refresh data button. Note: You can also download the audit log as a
.csvfile. To download the audit log, click Download.
Types of audit events
The following groups of activities are recorded in the audit log:
- User sessions management events
- User sessions management events consist of user login and logout.
- Features accessed
- Features accessed consists of the features that the user accessed in a specific session.
- Project and organization management
- Project and organization management consists of the following events: creation and removal of project items, projects and organizations, project and organization changes, and project imports and exports.
Failed login attempts and unauthorized action attempts
The Recent activities audit log does not track failed login attempts, but the application automatically blocks a user after three failed attempts. Three is a default number, which you can change in Administration > Tenant > Tenant details.
However, failed login attempts and attempts to perform unauthorized operations are logged in the application logs. For example, creating a project without having the permissions to do so is an unauthorized operation. For more information, see Audit log and application logs.
Viewing recent activities of a specific user
To view recent activities performed by a specific user in the audit log, complete the
following steps:
- On the home page, click the Administration tab.
- Go to the Recent activities tab.
- From the Tenant list, select the required tenant.
- Select the user from the list.
- To find a specific activity, search by activity message, or filter by type, or date. If the activity you're looking for is missing, try clicking the Refresh data button.

- On the home page, click the Administration tab.
- Go to the Users tab.
- Find the specific user and click the Edit button it their row.
- Go to Recent activity.
- Click on a date to see all the user's activity on that day. You can also search for specific activity by using the search bar, filtering the types of activity, or selecting a specific time period.
