Getting access to the platform

IBM Process Mining can be deployed in a Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform (OCP) environment or in a Linux non-containerized environment. You can also choose the trial option to experience IBM Process Mining at no cost. See the following sections to learn more about IBM Process Mining deployment options.

Trial experience

IBM Process Mining offers two types of trial options for an initial experience of the application.

  • IBM Process Mining as a Service at no cost for 30 days

    You can use this trial version to get a first-hand experience with IBM Process Mining. This trial version provides access to an environment that is preconfigured with IBM Process Mining and is valid for 30 days. You can use this version to create one process, upload up to 1 million events, and use all the features of the application.

  • IBM Process Mining 6-month Academic Trial

    This trial version is intended for Universities. To get started with the full-featured version of IBM Process Mining at no-cost, educators can sign up for access to an instance and can invite up to 50 students.

Accessing IBM Process Mining in a Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform (OCP) environment

In this configuration, you need to set up and install the server environment on Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform (OCP) deployment, and the client environment in a stand-alone deployment.

Accessing IBM Process Mining in a Linux non-containerized environment

To access IBM Process Mining in a Linux non-containerized environment, you need to set up and install the server and client environments in a stand-alone deployment.

Download IBM Process Mining through the Passport Advantage Online webpage. It refers to Site Primary (or Secondary) Contact as the customer who purchased an IBM product. The Primary Contact receives a welcome email with a link to download the software from Passport Advantage Online.

Signing in to Passport Advantage Online with Site Primary Contact access

Complete the following steps if you are not the Site Primary Contact and you need to get access to Passport Advantage Online to download the software:

  1. Go to Passport Advantage Online for Customers.
  2. Click Sign in to your PAO Site.
  3. Sign in using your IBMid or create a new IBMid.
  4. In the Site Number box, type the site number that you want to access.
  5. In the Business justification box, type the reason for PAO Site access. The Site Primary Contact verifies the business justification to assign the right role and grant the required application privileges.
  6. Click Submit.

The Site Primary Contact receives an automated email from IBM indicating that a new user wants to have access to the Passport Advantage system.

Signing in to Passport Advantage Online without Site Primary Contact access

Complete the following steps if you are the Site Primary Contact:

  1. Go to Passport Advantage Online for Customers.
  2. On the Passport Advantage Online for Customers webpage, go to Account Management > Manage access.
  3. Select the link for the IBMid associated with the user.
  4. Manage the permissions for users within the site, approve or reject permission requests, and configure access to different options.
