Configuring reports

You configure the report settings on a project level, which means that the changes only affect reports in a given project.

To configure the settings for investigative reports, complete the following steps:

  1. From the home page, go to All projects and open the project whose settings you want to configure.

  2. From the navigation pane, select the magnifying glass icon.

  3. In the Investigative report page, click the settings (gearwheel) icon to open the Report settings window.

  4. In the Analysis section of the Report settings window, configure the report settings. For more information on the available settings, see the following table:

    Settings Description
Default time range Defined period from which project data is investigated. By default, all your data is considered, but you can choose to view data for specific timeframes.
Minimum case count Minimum number of cases present in the process within the selected time range (if any) for Prescriptive Process Mining to start the investigation. Consider setting a number that guarantees the investigation will be based on a substantial amount of data, preventing skewed results from sample sizes that are too small.
Impact threshold (%) A minimum impact of an activity or attribute as a percentage to be considered as an influencer on a Key Performance Indicator (KPI). If any activity or attribute causes a KPI to move beyond this threshold, that will be included in your report.
Minimum precision threshold (%) The minimum level of precision of insights that are provided in the report. Slide the threshold right to include predictable and consistent correlations. Slide the threshold left to capture a broader range.
Dimension occurrence threshold (%) Specifies the minimum frequency of occurrence for activities and attributes to be included in the report. Slide the threshold right to include only the most common activities and attributes,or left to capture a broader range.
Activities included in analysis Type of activities the Prescriptive Process Mining investigates. You can choose all activities or focus only on non-conformant activities in the process.
Maximum Automation opportunity threshold (%) The threshold the activities must not exceed for the Prescriptive Process Mining to recognise it as an opportunity for automation in your report. Slide it right to include only the activities with greater automation, or slide it left to capture a broader range.
Distinct values Specifies the maximum number of distinct values that an attaribute can possess to be included in the report.
Relevance threshold (%) Specifies the minimum percentage of relevance of an activity or attribute on the KPI total to be included in the report. Slide it right to include only the most impactful items, or slide it left to capture a broader range.
Analysis threshold (%) The percentage by which you'd like to perform the What-If analysis for activities and attributes. Slide it right to for more ambitious projections, or slide it left see more modest results.
  5. Go to the Recommended actions section.

  6. Specify the investigation settings. For more information on the available settings, see the following table:

    Settings Description
Minimum number of recommended resources The minimum number of resources Prescriptive Process Mining will recommend to include in that investigation.
Resource coverage threshold (%) The minimum percentage of cases in which the resources must be collectively involved.
Prescriptive Process Mining recommends adding resources until their collective involvement reaches this threshold.
Minimum data gap The maximum length of an interval, in days, between two consecutive activities before Prescriptive Process Mining recommends you to enhance the data.
  7. Click Save settings.
