IBM Process Mining Assistant

IBM Process Mining Assistant is a feature that is designed to help you quickly find information and use efficient shortcuts. By interacting with IBM Process Mining Assistant, you can get answers to your questions or ask it to provide you with solutions.

As of now, IBM Process Mining Assistant is supported only in the SaaS environments and only in English.

Enabling the IBM Process Mining Assistant

You can enable the IBM Process Mining Assistant by completing the following steps:

  1. Open a project.
  2. Go to Data & Settings > Project > Integration & API.
  3. Set the Assistant toggle to Enabled.

Using IBM Process Mining Assistant

To use IBM Process Mining Assistant once its enabled, complete the following steps:

  1. To open the chat window, click on the assistant button in the bottom right part of the screen.
  2. Type and send a message to interact with the IBM Process Mining Assistant. For more information about the things you can write, see Examples of using the IBM Process Mining Assistant.
  3. If the question was about a specific project, select this project from the list.

If you ask about a specific project, IBM Process Mining Assistant gives information about the project that is currently open. If no project is open, you must select a project from the list.

  1. Optional: If the response is not what you expected, try rephrasing your question in a more specific way.

Examples of using IBM Process Mining Assistant

You can ask IBM Process Mining Assistant for help and information about a project.

The following commands and questions are the examples of what you can ask IBM Process Mining Assistant. When using them, adjust the dates and numbers to the data from your project.

Example 1: “Download BPMN.”

Example 2: “Download Prescriptive report.”

Example 3: “What is the total number of cases?”

Example 4: “What are the 3 processes with the highest lead time that are still open?”

Example 5: “Show me running cases that cost more than 50 dollars.”

Example 6: “How many cases created in March 2023 are still open?”

Example 7: “How many processes have duration greater than 3 months?”

Example 8: “Show me the 5 users associated with the highest number of cases.”

Disabling IBM Process Mining Assistant

To stop IBM Process Mining Assistant from appearing on the screen, click the cross icon on the assistant button.
