Interpreting the reports
Prescriptive Process Mining generates an investigative report when it completes the analysis of a process mining project.
To learn more about the information that is provided in the investigative report, see the following table.
Table 1. Information in the investigative report
Element number | Element name | Description | Additional information |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Report details | Provides details of the report and the source project for which the report is generated. | |
2 | Understanding your report | Provides details such as the number of clues found in the project in the specified period, and short descriptions and insights about each type of clue. | |
3 | Investigation period | Specifies the period in which Prescriptive Process Mining investigates for the clues in the project. | You can view the report for project data from the last week, last 30 days, last year, or all time. You can also set a custom period of investigation using the Custom range option. |
4 | Apply filter template | Displays the filter templates that are applied to the project for investigation. | For more information, see Focusing the investigation. |
5 | Default KPIs | Provides the comparison data between average observed values and benchmark values for the process in terms of the default KPIs. | The defaults KPIs are Process duration and Process cost. For more information, see Check the conformance of KPIs. |
6 | Custom KPIs | Provides the comparison data between average observed values and benchmark values for the process in terms of the custom KPIs in the project. | For more information, see Check the conformance of KPIs. |
7 | KPI insights | Provides details such as the names of non-comforming activities and cases, insights about their individual influence on overall KPI deviation, recommended actions to remediate the non-conformance, and statistical data of the impact of these recommended actions. | For more information, see the following topics: - Analyzing root causes - Exploring recommended actions - Assessing the benefits |
8 | Key findings | Summarizes the key findings from the investigation for each non-conforming activity, such as the observed deviation from KPI benchmarks and the probable causes of this deviation including resources and other parameters. |
After you generate an investigative report, you can use filter templates to further narrow down the scope of investigation and gain focused results. For more information, see Focusing the investigation.
You can also rebuild reports and choose the KPIs to include in the report. For more information, see Rebuilding investigative reports.
