Process variants
The process variants of the project are displayed as tiles. Each tile represents various activities of the process. It also indicates the number of steps and the average duration that an activity takes to complete.
Visualizing the distinct activities in the process model
You can access the Process variants panel by clicking the icon on the header.
You can sort the list of variants by the following options:
Frequency
Displays the percentage and number of cases in which the activity occurs.
Average duration
Displays the duration that an activity takes to complete.
You can display the selected data in an ascending or a descending order.
In the tile, select the checkbox corresponding to a case or activity to view the path that an activity takes to complete.
Viewing the details of a variant activity
To view the details of a variant activity, do the following steps:

In the Process variants panel, select the three dots menu icon in the tile of the activity.

Select Variant details.
The Variant details page displays the number and percentage of cases that are involved in completing the activity. It also displays the total number of steps and the type of steps to complete the activity.
Creating filters to include or exclude a variant activity
You can use the Process variants panel to create filters for one or more distinct activities.
Adding a filter for one of the activities
To create a filter for one of the activities, do the following steps:

In the Process variants panel, select the three dots menu icon in the tile of the activity, then do one of the following steps:

To create a filter and display the processes that include the specific activity, click Create filter to include. To create a filter and display the processes that do not include the specific activity, click Create filter to exclude.
Adding a filter for multiple activities
To create a filter for multiple activities, do the following steps:

In the Process variants panel, select the checkbox corresponding to the required activities, and then click Create filter.

Set Exclude matched cases switch to one of the following options:
- On to exclude the matched cases.
- Off to include the matched cases.
