Overview

With the advancement in technology, cloud storage plays a pivotal part in organizing and storing data. Organizations are now opting for cloud storage to reduce onsite storage costs and to enable scalable, flexible, and simple data migration for their users. In IBM Process Mining, you can now create a data migration connection with one of the following cloud storage providers – IBM Cloud® Object Storage, AWS S3, and Azure Blob Storage.

You can create a connection to upload a file from IBM Cloud® Object Storage, AWS S3, and Azure Blob Storage at any of the following three instances:

• Creating a project by using the Create a process-mining project wizard
• Using the Schedule source menu on the Manage tab of the selected project
• Using the Data source menu on the Manage tab of the selected project

Additionally, you can opt to upload a single file from the cloud storage or schedule to upload files of a pattern from the cloud storage. To upload a single file, you can use the Create a process-mining project wizard and the Data source menu on the Manage tab of the selected project.

To view the complete list of cloud storage connections in the organization, go to Assets > Schedule sources.

This document describes how to manage data upload from a cloud storage by using both the Schedule source menu and the Data source menu on the Manage tab. The document also includes an example on how to create a connection to IBM Cloud® Object Storage using sample data.
