Reference model

In IBM Process Mining, you can add a reference model by using one of the following methods:

  • The Model conformance panel on the Model page.
    For more information, see the Using Model conformance topic.
  • The Reference model section on the Manage page.

You can edit a reference model in a project only if you are the owner of the project. If you are using a project that is shared with you, then this feature is unavailable for you.

Adding a Reference model

To add a reference model, complete the following steps:

  1. In the left pane of the Manage page, click Reference model. Reference model settings Figure 1: Accessing the reference model settings

  2. In the Reference model section, click Add reference model.

  3. In the Add reference model dialog box, do one of the following steps:
    a. To upload a reference model from your device, click Upload, and then click Add file.

    Ensure that the uploaded file is either a .XPDL file or a .BPMN file.

    b. To upload a file from BPA, click Get from BPA, and then select the required reference model from the Available reference models list.

  4. In the Add reference model dialog box, click Add reference model to add the selected reference model in the project. Adding Reference model2 Figure 3: Add the reference model file from system

Editing a Reference model

In IBM Process Mining, you can update or replace the existing reference model. To edit a reference model, complete the following steps:

  1. In the left pane of the Manage page, click Reference model.

  2. In the Reference model section, click Edit reference model. Update Reference model Figure 4: Updating or replacing a reference model

  3. In the Add reference model dialog box, choose the required option to upload a reference model, and then click Add reference model. Update Reference model2 Figure 5: Adding the new reference model

Deleting a Reference model

To delete a reference model, complete the following steps :

  1. In the left pane of the Manage page, click Reference model.

  2. In the Reference model section, click the Delete button. Delete Reference model Figure 6: Deleting a reference model

  3. In the Confirm delete message box, click Delete.
