Data cleansing
You can use the Data cleansing options in IBM Process Mining to improve the representation of the process in the process analysis. The following two features are availables in the Data cleansing page:
Alias
You can use the Alias feature to rename an activity for ease of identification.
Adding an alias for an activity
To apply an alias to an activity, complete the following steps:

In the Data cleansing section, click Add activity alias.

In the Add activity alias dialog box, complete the following steps:
a. In the Activity field, select the activity that you want to rename.
b. In the Alias field, type the name for the activity.
c. Click Add.
You can repeat these steps for any activities included in the process.

Verify the Alias section to view the list of alias created for the project.

Go to the Model tab to visualize the changes.
Editing an alias of an activity
To edit the alias of an activity, complete the following steps:

In the Alias section, click the Edit icon (
) corresponding to the activity you want to change.

In the Alias field of the Edit activity alias dialog box, type the name for the activity, and then click Save.
Deleting an alias of an activity
To delete the alias of an activity, complete the following steps:

In the Alias section, click the Delete icon (
) corresponding to the activity you want to delete.

In the dialog, click Delete.
The message, "Alias has been deleted successfully" appears to indicate that the application successfully deleted the alias.
Ignore activity
In IBM Process Mining, you can configure the process analyssi to ignore specific activities that are not relevant to your business requirements.
To configure the activities that must be ignored in the model and process analysis, complete the following steps:
- In the Data cleansing section, click Change ignored activities.
- In the Change ignored activities dialog, select one or more activities from the list to be ignored.
- Click Save.
- Go to the Model tab to visualize the changes.
