Using the attribute statistics

You can use the Attribute statistics panel to visualize the process model based on the cases grouped by the various attributes. IBM Process Mining derives the attribute list based on the data source that is uploaded to the application.

The visible statistics are for attributes with a cardinality smaller than the threshold. You can set this threshold in Attributes management page in the Manage tab.
To see all values of the attribute, select the attribute from the list and click Compute statistics. You receive a notification after calculations are complete.

You can use the Attribute statistics panel to perform the following actions:

  1. In the visualization tab, click Statistics to view the Attribute statistics panel. Attribute statistics

  2. In the Overall process section, you can identify the number of cases and events that are visualized in the process model.

  3. In the View details for cases by list, select the required attribute.

The View details for cases by list indicates the column names that are mapped to parameters when you create the process-mining project.

  1. In the Search for a specific attribute field, enter the value to group the variants.

  2. In the Sort by list, select one of the following options:

    • Frequency displays the percentage and number of cases in which the activity or attribute occurs.
    • Average case lead time displays the average lead time of cases at which the activity or attribute occurs.
  3. The displayed table represents the activities that are grouped based on the selected attributes.

  4. Click the close button to close the Attribute statistics panel.

To sort the data in an ascending or a descending order, click the dot-icon icon.
You can also add filters from the Attribute statistics panel. You can exclude or include a case and filter the process model based on the selected case. To do so, click the three-dot icon and then click Create filter to include or Create filter to exclude. You can view the result in the process area.
