Creating a task mining project

You can create a IBM Task Mining project on the Home page. You can create linked or standalone IBM Task Mining projects.

Creating a linked task mining project

You can link an existing IBM Process Mining project with the task mining project you create. You can compare and correlate the business process discovered using IBM Process Mining and the business activities captured using IBM Task Mining Agent.

Create a New TM project

Complete the following steps to create a linked IBM Task Mining project:

  1. Click Create task mining project.

  2. Select the Use existing organization option and select an organization name from the list in the Organization field.

  3. In the Linked Process field dropdown, select the IBM Process Mining project that you want to link with the IBM Task Mining project.

To link a task mining project, you must have an existing organization.

  1. If you wish to disable Obfuscation & Anonymization, switch the Enable Obfuscation & Anonymization toggle to No. By default, the toggle is set to Yes.

You cannot configure Obfuscation & Anonymization of the screen captures and the extracted data once a project is created.

  1. Click Create project.

Creating a standalone task mining project

  1. Click Create task mining project.

  2. Link the task mining project to an existing organization or a new organization.

    1. If you want to link your process to an existing organization, select the Use existing organization option and select an organization name from the list in the Organization field. Leave the Linked Process field empty as you are creating a standalone task mining project.

    2. If you want to link your process to a new organization, select the Create new organization option and enter the organization name in the Organization field.

  3. Enable the standalone TM project by switching the Standalone task mining project field to Yes.

  4. Optional: To disable Obfuscation & Anonymization, switch the Enable Obfuscation & Anonymization toggle to No. By default, the toggle is set to Yes.

  1. Click Create project.

Deleting a IBM Task Mining project

To delete a a IBM Task Mining project:

  1. Click on the ellipsis button three-dot to go to the menu.
  2. Click the delete button.

Opening a IBM Task Mining project

To open a IBM Task Mining project, select it from the recent projects or use search on the home page.
