What's new in IBM Process Mining 1.14.1

Learn about the new or changed features in IBM Process Mining 1.14.1.

Process Apps

Starting from IBM Process Mining release 1.14.1, you can manage and control the permissions of the process app users by making the process app Closed source or Open Source. For more information, see the Understanding types of users and permissions in custom process app topic.

Data stream integration

Starting from IBM Process Mining release 1.14.1, you can opt to include data stream credentials when taking a backup of a process. For more information, see the Backup and History topic.

Schedule source retrieval from cloud storage

Starting from IBM Process Mining release 1.14.1, you can establish a connection with the cloud storage services such as IBM Cloud® object storage and AWS S3 to schedule source retrievals. For more information, see the Schedule source topic.

RPA bot generation

Starting from IBM Process Mining release 1.14.1, you can download an analysis report for the selected RPA candidate. The downloaded report includes the screenshots of the tasks related to the selected RPA candidate. For more information, see the Generating an RPA bot topic.

IBM Task Mining

Starting from IBM Process Mining release 1.14.1, IBM Task Mining is integrated into IBM Process Mining. Therefore, the endpoint for Task Mining Agent is changed from https://<TM_HOST> to https://<PM_HOST>. Endpoint for Task Mining is changed from https://<TM_HOST> to https://<PM_HOST>/taskmining. For more information, see the Installing the Task Mining Agent and Basic configuration topics.

Other improvements

  • Data Source

Starting from IBM Process Mining release 1.14.1, you can upload a data source file from a simulation or from a cloud storage. You can also filter the data sources based on the following statuses - Failed, Success, and Warning.

  • Activity working time

Starting from IBM Process Mining release 1.14.1, you can map the activity working time values to the Working time [ms] field when you create a process. You can also define the activity working time values in the Processes > Manage > Activity working time menu. For more information, see the Activity working time topic.

  • Usage details

The system admins can now verify the usage details for each customer from the Administration > Usage details page. For more inforamtion, see the Usage details topic.

  • Invalid custom metric

Starting from IBM Process Mining release 1.14.1, you can see an error icon and notification to identify the invalid custom metrics. For more information, see the Custom metrics overview topic.

Technology preview feature

  • Machine learning

Starting from IBM Process Mining release 1.14.1, you can train machine learning models to predict the outcome of processes in terms of process lead time and total cost. These predictions can help you optimize the process by identifying the deviations in Key Process Indexes (KPI) from its reference values. You can also identify the major factors that influenced the prediction using the machine learning widgets in IBM Process Mining.

The Machine Learning feature in IBM Process Mining comes with an intuitive user interface that tells you when a model requires training and provides its live training status. For more information, see the Machine Learning topic.
