KPI settings
By defining the key performance indicators (KPI) settings, you can visualize which activities are risky or critical for the process KPIs. You can visualize the KPI settings in the Model tab.
You can edit the process KPIs and activity KPIs. For more information, see the following links:
Overall process KPIs

Case duration thresholds
Acceptable time limit that can elapse between the start and the end of the process. -
Case cost thresholds
Acceptable cost limit that can occur between the start and the end of the process according to the defined cost model.
Default activity KPIs

Activity throughput thresholds
Acceptable time limit that can elapse when it passes through an activity (waiting time including execution). -
Activity wait queue thresholds
Acceptable time limit of the waiting queue. -
Activity duration thresholds
Acceptable time limit of activity duration. -
Resource allocation thresholds
Acceptable limit of resources allocation for the activity; useful in the Animation, it compares the current number of allocated resources with the maximum number available for the activity.
Specific activity KPIs
The Specific activity KPIs section shows the KPI settings for the specific activities in your process. To view the Specific activity KPIs section, you must set values for the KPIs of the specific activity that you want to monitor. You use the following steps to configure Specific activity KPI:

Go to Manage>KPIs>Default activity KPIs.

Click the Edit activity KPIs button to view the Edit activity KPIs dialog.

Select the preferred activity from the dropdown list in the Activity field.

Set the values for the following fields:

Activity throughput thresholds
Acceptable time limit that can elapse when it passes through an activity (waiting time including execution). -
Activity wait queue thresholds
Acceptable time limit of the waiting queue. -
Activity duration thresholds
Acceptable time limit of activity duration. -
Resource allocation thresholds
Acceptable limit of resources allocation for the activity that is useful in the Animation and compares the current number of allocated resources with the maximum number available for the activity.

Click the Save button to save the Specific activity KPI KPI values.
Alternatively, you can load the default values for the KPIs for a specific activity by clicking the Load values link on the Edit activity KPIs dialog to view the Load values confirmation dialog. To complete loading the default values for Specific activity KPIs, click the Load values button on the Load values confirmation dialog.
To exit the Edit activity KPIs dialog without saving the changes, click the Cancel button.
