Refreshing a snapshot to parent

In IBM Process Mining application, when you open a process that is shared with your username, you create an independent snapshot of that process. You can work on this snapshot without altering the version that the owner or other collaborators use. Note that no snapshots are created for the analytics of the process.

Important pointers

IBM Process Mining does not allow the following types of modifications to the snapshots, even when the snapshots include full-privileges:

  • Remove or edit data sources that the owner uploads.
  • Remove or edit reference model that the owner uploads.

The snapshots automatically update when the following actions are performed on the parent process:

  • Add or remove a data source.
  • Add or remove a shared filter template.
  • Change, add, or remove a shared analytics dashboard.

Following actions performed in any one of the snapshots automatically update the related snapshots and the parent process:

  • Add or remove a shared filter template.
  • Change, add, or remove a shared analytics dashboard.

Following actions performed on one of the snapshots does not update the related snapshots and the parent process:

  • Add or remove a data source.
  • Change the project settings.
