Dashboard setup

For each process loaded in IBM Process Mining, an Analytics Process overview dashboard is generated automatically for you.

The process overview dashboard always contains the following widgets as default:

  • Process cases
  • Case details
  • Case variants
  • Process model
  • Average lead time
  • Lead time influencersDashboard information
  • KPI summary

Advanced analytics dashboard example

From the dashboard menu, you can:

  • Modify the Dashboard information - the dashboard name and its privacy settings
  • Set the dashboard as default, which means that the current dashboard opens when you open analytics of the process
  • Create a dashboard from scratch
  • Create a copy of the current dashboard to use it as a template for a new one
  • Import a dashboard
  • Export the current dashboard
  • Delete the current dashboard (it cannot be done for Process overview)

To start customizing your dashboard, you must click Edit.

An edit bar is shown by giving you the ability to add widgets, saving or discarding your work.

You can add a widget by clicking it on the edit bar.

You can resize a widget by dragging its borders.

You can rearrange the widget by dragging them over the dashboard canvas.

Dashboard information

Once the Dashboard is created, the owner can set the visibility of the custom Dashboard as:

  • Private
  • Shared with users within the same organization, both readable and editable

The User can also set custom Dashboards as a default.

Dashboard filters

The dashboard filters are applied ON TOP of the filters that are applied on the event log (from the IBM Process Mining application).

Dashboard filters application mode can vary depending on the widget you are using (for further details, visit the widgets section).

To manage dashboard filters and IBM Process Mining filters, you can use the filter bar in the navigation menu

Dashboard filters

  • You can see the % of filtered cases and events, on the total numbers
  • The filters feature displays which filters are applied on the event log (from the IBM Process Mining application). Note: you cannot remove IBM Process Mining filters in Analytics; you must switch back to the IBM Process Mining application to remove them
  • The filters feature displays which dashboard filters are applied. You can remove a dashboard filter by clicking it. You can also save your current dashboard filters as a template
  • You can apply previously created IBM Process Mining filter templates as dashboard filters, without overriding your current dashboard filters; only one filter template can be used at the same time
