Design update
-
New Login page
Starting from release 1.13.0.0, IBM Process Mining comes with a new Login page for on-premises and stand-alone installations. For more information, see Accessing IBM Process Mining. -
New user experience
Starting from release 1.13.0.0, IBM Process Mining integrates IBM Carbon 10 Design System to improve your user experience. The adoption of Carbon Design provides a consistent user experience across IBM products. For more information about IBM Carbon Design System, see https://www.carbondesignsystem.com.The user interfaces of the following pages come with the improved user experience:
-
Workspace
The new user interface of the Workspace page is now consistent and intuitive with the IBM Carbon 10 design. For more information, see Workspace. -
Manage
The Setting tab in the old user interface of IBM Process Mining is now changed to the Manage tab. For more information, see Manage. -
Model
The new user interface design of the Model tab gives more clarity to your process model and enhances your process analysis experience. For more information, see Model. -
BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation)
The new BPMN tab comes with an easy-to-navigate user interface. For more information, see BPMN. -
Compare
The Compare tab comes with enhanced features to help you compare two processes or two variations of one single process. For more information, see Compare. -
Automate
The Automate page of IBM Process Mining is available only if the process includes activities that are derived from IBM Task Mining. You can use the Automate page to analyze the possible process improvements and generate Robotic Process Automation (RPA) bots. For more information, see Automate. -
Statistics
In the new user interface of the Statistics tab, you can now view, filter, and organize your process statistics with enhanced user experience. For more information, see Statistics. -
Resource mapping
The Activity map tab and the Social net tab in the old user interface of IBM Process Mining is now available as two view modes in the Resource mapping tab in the new design. For more information, see Resource Mapping.

REST API
- New REST APIs
IBM Process Mining 1.13.0.0 introduces the following REST APIs (see Process Mining API):- API to generate an authorization token for the signature parameter used in other APIs.
- API to retrieve the Key Process Indicators (KPI).
- API to retrieve the process model with statistics.
- API to retrieve the performance statistics of a single activity and its relations.
- API to retrieve activities, relations, or cases that exceed the KPI thresholds.
- API to compute and retrieve deviations.
- API to perform CRUD (create, retrieve, update, and delete) operations on process variables.
- API to upload process backup and apply it.
- API to retrieve applied persistent filters.
- Asynchronous API to compute and retrieve the process model with statistics by applying transient filters.
- Asynchronous API to compute and retrieve performance statistics of a single activity or its relation by applying transient filters.
- Asynchronous API to compute and retrieve the statistics of activities, relations, or cases that exceed the KPI thresholds by applying transient filters.
- Asynchronous API to compute and retrieve statistics of different types of deviations by applying transient filters.
- API to retrieve statistics of case variants.
Robotic Process Automation
- Bot generation
Starting from release 1.13.0.0, IBM Process Mining comes with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) bot generation capabilities that helps to automate activities captured by TM Agent. After configuring the bot generation capability, you can execute the generated RPA Bot in your automation tools. For more information, see Generating an RPA Bot.
Miscellaneous
-
Integration with IBM Blueworks Live
In the BPMN model of a process in IBM Process Mining 1.13.0.0, you can see labels on activities adopted from IBM Blueworks Live if you choose to import the process blueprint from IBM Blueworks Live to IBM Process Mining. -
SAP order-to-cash data extraction
Starting from release 1.13.0.0, IBM Process Mining automatically transforms order-to-cash data extracted from SAP to a standard event log. The new set of standard KPI, filters, and dashboard helps you analyze the order-to-cash process and identify deviations and issues. Currently, you can use this feature as-is and talk to your IBM representative if you want to know more about the feature and try it out. -
Export Dashboard widgets in the Analytics page
In IBM Process Mining 1.13.0.0 and later releases, you can retrieve the data from the Dashboard widgets in the Analytics page along with the applied filters. -
Extended support for languages
IBM Process Mining 1.13.0.0 is now available in Korean, Portuguese-Portugal, Danish, Finnish, and Swedish.
Inclusive terminology note: IBM Process Mining is making changes to support the IBM® initiative to replace racially biased and other discriminatory language in our code and content with more inclusive language. While IBM values the use of inclusive language, terms that are outside of IBM's direct influence are sometimes required for the sake of maintaining user understanding. As other industry leaders join IBM in embracing the use of inclusive language, IBM will continue to update the documentation to reflect those changes.
