Problem

PowerVC installation might fail on RHEL 8.2 or RHEL 8.3 when you opt for additional packages on the OS installation wizard.

Explanation

This problem might occur when RHEL 8.2 or RHEL 8.3 OS is installed with any of these editions or configuration.
  • Server - Additional packages opted for install.
  • Server with GUI - Additional packages opted for install.

Resolution

Make sure you install the following RHEL editions.
  • RHEL 8.6, 8.7, 9.0, or 9.1 - Server edition
  • RHEL 8.6, 8.7, 9.0, or 9.1 - Server with GUI edition

Retry PowerVC installation.
