Changing the logical-memory block size

You may have to change the logical-memory block size on your hosts to prepare them for hot migration and other tasks in IBM® Power® Virtualization Center.

The system kernel uses the memory block size to read and write files. By default, the logical-memory block size is set to Automatic. This setting allows the system to set the logical-memory block size based on the physical memory that is available. You can also manually change the logical-memory block size. For PowerVC, the logical-memory block size should be the same on all of the hosts in your environment.

For instructions to change the logical-memory block size, see Changing the logical-memory block size in the IBM Power Knowledge Center.
