Before working with PBHA

The following prerequisites must be met before enabling PBHA and configuration changes must be made by the storage administrator as part of the initial setup of PBHA.

• FlashSystem controller minimum firmware version should be at Firmware 9.1.1.
• FlashSystem should have the HA partition that is created with required pool linking between two storages.
• If the SVC Hyperswap is registered, it should be removed from the PowerVC appliance before you enable PBHA.
• Both storages must have the same login credentials. The same password should be used to log in to both FlashSystems. Both storage must have the same pool name that is linked.

Steps to disable SVC HyperSwap registration from PowerVC.

1. If existing SVC HyperSwap virtual machines need to be converted to PBHA, contact the storage administrator to convert those VMs to PBHA.
2. Remove SVC storage.
