IBM® PowerVC, built on the OpenStack framework, is designed to simplify virtualization management and enable cloud deployments on IBM Power® Systems. Initially, PowerVC was offered as software that can be installed and managed on virtual machines on your own. However, starting with PowerVC 2.3.2, IBM introduced a new deployment model, PowerVC virtual appliance (PVCVA).

Important: PVCVA provides a controlled and encapsulated environment where end-to-end management is supported by IBM.
