Virtual machines get stuck in a warning state with a Cisco switch
When many virtual machines are deployed by using Cisco switches, some of the virtual machines stay in a warning state for a long time.
Some of the virtual machines that use NPIV for boot connectivity get stuck in a warning state. As a result of the issue, you cannot log in to the virtual machine by using an IP address.
To resolve the issue, log in to the virtual machine from HMC and configure the host name and IP address manually.
