Registering IBM Cloud Object Storage in PowerVC

Starting version 2.0.2, IBM Cloud Object Storage support has been integrated with PowerVC. You can register a Cloud Object Storage bucket on PowerVC and use it to upload and download image OVAs between PowerVC and IBM Cloud. This feature provides scalability and high availability and enables PowerVC for hybrid cloud. Currently, only IBM Cloud Object Storage is supported with the future scope being support for other Cloud Object Storage types.

Multiple backup nodes can be registered on a single PowerVC instance, which provides scalability and allows performing concurrent backups.

To register Cloud Object Storage in PowerVC, you must have an IBM Cloud account and an active IBM Cloud Object Storage (COS) service instance. You must also have the bucket that can be registered in PowerVC existing on your IBM COS instance.
