Configuring PowerVM hosts managed by NovaLink

Perform these configuration tasks on your hosts to prepare for PowerVC.

If the system is a fresh install, follow the steps in Installing PowerVM NovaLink, then add virtual machines as described in Creating an image from ISO.

If you are converting an existing HMC managed system to be NovaLink managed, follow the steps in Installing the PowerVM NovaLink software on a system that is managed by an HMC.
