Failed uninstall of PowerVC

When you uninstall PowerVC, you get an error saying that you must try the uninstall using the force option.

Explanation

Uninstall fails because some of the RPMs that were installed with PowerVC could not be uninstalled.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, you can force an uninstall of PowerVC from the management server. Use the following command:

/opt/ibm/powervc/bin/powervc-uninstall -f

Note: This procedure removes PowerVC from the management server. It does not remove or change anything in your environment that you created while you are using PowerVC. Any Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® prerequisite packages that were installed during the PowerVC installation remain.
