Using IBM PowerSC MFA authentication (optional)
You can optionally use the IBM® PowerSC Multi-Factor Authentication out-of-band authentication type to authenticate to the PowerSC GUI server.
Important: In this release, PowerSC GUI
supports IBM
PowerSC MFA in the following way:
- Password fallback is not supported.
- All IBM PowerSC MFA out-of-band authentication methods except certificate authentication are supported.
You enter your policy name, which you must already know. Each policy defines the factors that you must provide. When you specify a valid authentication policy, a list of factors required to use the policy is displayed.
All configured authentication factors must succeed. For example, if an account is configured for both IBM PowerSC MFA with SecurID and RADIUS authentication methods, both methods must succeed.
Important: After you configure the PowerSC GUI
server for IBM
PowerSC MFA authentication, IBM
PowerSC MFA authentication is enabled for all users. To authenticate
without using IBM
PowerSC MFA authentication, you must disable
it.
