Managing events

You can hide, unhide, or delete selected events for a specific data range for a PowerSC GUI group. There are many reasons to hide or delete an event, the most common is if you have resolved the event. The delete action is permanent and cannot be reversed. Deleted events cannot be recovered.

  1. From the main page, select the Security tab.
    The Security page opens.
  2. Click Manage vents.
  3. Select the action (Hide events, Unhide events, Delete events) from the drop-down list.
  4. Select the group from the drop-down list.
  5. Select the time range of the events in the From and To date fields. You can modify the dates to increase or decrease the time range.
  6. Select and optionally expand one or more event categories for which you want to hide or delete events. You can select the entire category, or drill down to select specific events within the category.
  7. The events that you are about to hide, unhide, or delete are displayed.
  8. To hide events, perform the following steps:
    1. Select the confirmation box to confirm the action.
    2. Click Hide Events to hide the events.
  9. To unhide events, perform the following steps:
    1. Select the confirmation box to confirm the action.
    2. Click Unhide Events to unhide the events.
  10. To delete the events, perform the following steps:
    1. Select the confirmation box to confirm that you understand that this action is permanent and cannot be reversed.
    2. Click Delete Events to delete the events.
