Configuring quantum safe analysis

You can configure a quantum safe analysis scan for a selected endpoint.

Perform the following steps to configure a quantum safe analysis scan:
Note: The PowerSC uiAgent must be at version 2.3 and later to support all of the quantum safe analysis features.
  1. From the PowerSC GUI main page, select the Security tab. The Security page opens.
  2. Click the vertical three-dot ellipse to open the endpoint Actions menu for a selected endpoint.
  3. Click Quantum Safety.
  4. Click Configure Quantum Safety.
  5. Click Configuration.
  6. Choose one or more type of scans:
    • Cipher
    • Key
    • Certificate
  7. Enter a comma-separated list of the key and certificate file extensions to scan. (This field does not apply to ciphers.) You can generally accept the default types.
  8. On the Scan Folders tab, select the filepaths to scan. The default scan locations are as follows:
    • AIX: /opt/freeware/etc/
    • IBM i: /QOpenSys/etc/,/QIBM/UserData/ICSS/Cert/
    • Linux: /etc/security/
  9. On the Schedule scan tab, enable Auto Scan.
  10. Select one of the possible schedule types:
    • Daily. Select the hour and minute for the scan run.
    • Weekly. Select the day of the week, hour, and minute for the scan run.
    • Monthly. Select the day of the month, hour, and minute for the scan run.
  11. Click Save.
