Uploading the blocklist

From the Security page, you can upload blocklist files that include a list of user-provided virus hash values.

Each hash must be on a separate line in a text file, and all hashes in the file must use the same algorithm. By definition, you must use 32 hex characters for MD5, 40 hex characters for SHA-1, and 64 hex characters for SHA-256. For example, for MD5, a blocklist file with three hashes might appear as follows:

  1. From the main page, select the Security tab. The Security page opens.
  2. Click Upload hash.
  3. Click Add file.
  4. Select the files that you want to upload.
  5. Click Upload.
    All uploaded hash files are saved to /etc/security/powersc/uiServer/hashFiles.
The PowerSC GUI displays the hash type and hash count of the uploaded file.
