Installing IBM PowerSC MFA PAM modules on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux® Server PowerSC GUI server

You install the IBM® PowerSC MFA PAM modules on the PowerSC GUI server.

Note: A Java™ Virtual Machine (JVM) is required to install the IBM PowerSC MFA features.
Change directory (cd) to the images-directory/rhel directory and run the following commands as root to install the IBM PowerSC MFA PAM modules:
bash pmfa-pambase-latest-time-stamp.rhel8.ppc64le.sh
bash pmfa-pamfallback-latest-time-stamp.rhel8.ppc64le.sh

If you re-run the installation for any reason, the existing /etc/security/pmfa/pam_pmfa.conf file from the previous installation is not overwritten. The pam_pmfa.conf from the rpm package is saved as /etc/security/pmfa/pam_pmfa.conf.rpmnew.
