Configuring IBM PowerSC MFA authentication methods

The Authentication Methods tab displays all of the possible authentication methods. Click an authentication method name to display a new page with more specific settings.

The Authentication Methods tab contains all of the possible authentication methods that can be applied to a policy:
  • PIV/CAC or X.509 Certificate is a general-purpose certificate authentication mechanism that uses the client PIV/CAC identity certificate to authenticate the user.
  • RSA SecurID is an RSA SecurID-based authentication mechanism.
  • RSA SecurID Authentication API. You might choose to configure RSA SecurID Authentication API instead of RSA SecurID because RSA SecurID Authentication API requires the use of the HTTPS transport..
  • Time-based One Time Password TOTP is the timed one-time-password authentication mechanism.
  • Generic RADIUS is the generic RADIUS authentication mechanism.
  • SafeNet is the SafeNet RADIUS authentication mechanism.
  • RSA SecurID RADIUS is the SecurID RADIUS authentication mechanism.
  • PAM Authentication is the password authentication mechanism.
  • LDAP Simple Bind is the LDAP authentication mechanism.
  • Yubico OTP is the Yubikey authentication mechanism.
  • IBM® Security Verify Access is the IBM Security Verify Access authentication mechanism.
