Configure BMC connectivity
You can configure or view the network settings on the BMC for the management console.
Note: This task applies only to the 7063-CR1. This
connection is required to access the baseboard management controller (BMC) on the HMC.
To configure the BMC connection, complete the following steps:
- In the navigation area, click the HMC
Management icon
, and then select Console Settings. - In the content pane, click Change BMC/IPMI network settings.
- Select the connection mode (DHCP or Static).
If you select Static mode, complete the following addresses:
- IP address
- Subnet mask
- Gateway
- Click OK.
